Hollenstein - Wentsteinhammer - Promau - Kitzhütte - Königsberg - Hollenstein

From Raikaplatz along the Hammerbach stream past Treffenguthammer, FS Unterleiten, Wentsteinhammer and Jagdhaus Sandgraben to the Promau junction. The forest road begins here and leads steeply uphill past a game feeding station to the Eisgrabensattel. Via an alpine pasture you reach the Kitzhüttenalm and after approx. 200m the highest point of the tour (1300m).

The descent begins on the forest path to the right and leads via Kastnergschlief and Thomasbergerboden to the "Almauftriebsweg" junction. Now a steep descent leads to the ski lifts at Königsberg. From the Hochschlag farmhouse on an asphalt road (approx. 400m) to the junction above the valley station of lift 3. Here the path branches off to the right following the markings in the direction of Bachlerwald to the Jagersberger inn. Past the trout pond, after approx. 50m turn right onto a gravel road past the Rain farmhouse and continue on an asphalt road back to the starting point.
