The Lower Austria Eisenwurzen Nature Park is easily accessible by both public transport and car.

As there is no central entry point, excursion destinations and hiking trails can be reached and explored individually.

The nature park community is easily accessible and lies around an hour from Steyr, about 25 minutes from Waidhofen an der Ybbs and approximately 50 minutes from Amstetten. It can be reached easily via the Westautobahn (A1), with a junction leading onto the regional road network towards Hollenstein an der Ybbs.

Public parking is available in the local area near Excursion destinations and hiking trails.

You can also travel here by train and bus. There are bus services from the nearest train stations to the nature park municipality. We recommend checking the

The Lower Austria Eisenwurzen Nature Park is also easily accessible by bike. A particularly popular route is the Ybbstal Cycle Path, which winds through the stunning landscape of the Ybbstal valley straight to Hollenstein an der Ybbs.

Along the route, you can expect varied natural scenery, cosy rest areas and numerous opportunities to explore the nature park in an active and sustainable way. The cycle path is suitable for both active cyclists and leisurely outings.
