Our Lower Austrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park is situated in the idyllic municipality of Hollenstein an der Ybbs. Nestled between the majestic peaks of Gamsstein (1,774 m), Voralpe (1,770 m) and Königsberg (1,452 m), Hollenstein offers the perfect starting point for discovering the park’s diverse natural landscape – from mysterious gorges and sunny alpine pastures to clear streams teeming with life. Here, nature, relaxation and a vibrant local culture come together.
The Lower Austrian Eisenwurzen Nature Park offers a wide range of educational opportunities: from the Nature Park School to the agricultural colleges in Hohenlehen and Unterleiten, Hollenstein PrimarySchool and Hollenstein Secondary School, right through to our Nature Park nursery and our Nature Park daycare centre. This enables children and young people of all ages to experience the park’s natural environment first-hand and engage in sustainable learning.
