Blacksmithing demonstrations

Blacksmithing at the Treffenguthammer

Immerse yourself in a fascinating world of fire, iron and centuries-old craftsmanship at the Treffenguthammer. As the metal is worked whilst red-hot and sparks fly, an impressive experience unfolds, bringing tradition and history to life in a unique way.

During the summer holidays, an atmospheric blacksmithing demonstration awaits you every Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm in the historic hammer mill. A very special highlight is the traditional ‘lucky charm forging’ on 30 December – a unique custom that delights visitors from near and far.

Whether as an excursion destination, a group programme or a special experience: blacksmithing demonstrations can be organised at any time by prior arrangement and offer fascinating insights into an ancient craft.

Experience living history at the Treffenguthammer and be captivated by the magic of “red-hot iron”!
