The development of a nature park region in a purposeful way requires planning.

Landscapes full of life - these words are the most fitting description of the diversity of the nature parks in Austria and Lower Austria.

Landscapes full of life - these words are the most fitting description of the diversity of the nature parks in Austria and Lower Austria.

Natural habitats that have been awarded the title of being a Nature Park are cultural and natural environments and are being protected, preserved and further developed for future generations, and sustainable use.

The development of the nature parks in Lower Austria is based on #protection, #recreation, #education and #regional development.

The Lower Austrian Nature Conservation Act stipulates that each nature park has to develop a concept which includes a survey of the natural environment, a landscape conservation and development plan, a tourism concept, a nature park's contribution to regional development plan and plans for educational, information and recreational facilities.

Our strategy for success and the fulfilment of objectives

A successful and ambitious concept was developed in the year 2019 which combined a wide range of fields of knowledge.

This concept was launched with the support of Hollensteins Town-Mayor Manuela Zebenholzer and the initiative of Christina Forsthuber, Chairwoman of the local community.  It was possible to create and compile a concrete plan thanks to many active team members and the transfer of knowledge.

This most ambitious concept is constantly being expanded with many new ideas.

Here, the philosophy is lived with heart, hand, many thoughts and efforts, and the opportunity is offered to experience nature with all senses!

The Nature Park Eisenwurzen in Lower Austria is well established in Hollenstein an der Ybbs and in the hearts of the local community, and is committed to the Four Pillars philosophy.
The main attention is paid to the preservation and protection of nature and the diversity of species, as well as to conveying knowledge to the population and guests.

This philosophy is implemented heartily, manually and with a great deal of thought and effort, and offers our visitors the opportunity to experience nature with all their senses!
