Description
After the start in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, the route initially continues upstream along the Ybbs, without any significant gradients.
From Klein-Hollenstein, the pleasant ascent to the "Saurüssel" begins. A few bends, always in the easy single-digit percentage range (or alternatively and somewhat steeper the "old Saurüssel road -> turn left directly at the start of the ascent (small bridge) and follow the ascent, the road later joins the original descent) before the descent follows until shortly before Weyer.
Here we take a sharp right turn (almost a U-turn) in a long left-hand bend (at the road maintenance depot) and head towards Breitenau. The ascent is briefly very steep, but quickly flattens out and ends with short ramps up to the highest point - a small high plateau. We continue briskly downhill to Gaflenz, where we rejoin the B121 and cycle back to Waidhofen via Oberland.
